We have an immediate opening for a Family Medicine Physician for a Perm Placement position within a Community Clinic located in Los Angeles County.

Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
**Must be fluent in Spanish**
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain medical, social and developmental histories.
- Perform physical exams and immunizations on all patients.
- Initiate laboratory exams and studies as indicated.
- Provide health education and counseling.
- Management of all acute and chronic illnesses to and above community standards at all times.
- Consult with and Refer to appropriate specialist in regards to high risk or complex patients.
- Management of services in accordance with established clinic policies/procedures and contracted services under CHDP, Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelines.
- Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care in triage situations.
- Participation in clinic’s Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) program.
- Provide case management with other health care team members.
- Provide consultations to other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistant
- Maintain a positive working relationship with staff.
- Other duties as designated by the Medical Director or Executive Director.
Required Education/Experience and/or Licensure/Certifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited university (if foreign medical graduate, must pass all required USMLE exams and/or completed an accredited residency program in the US)
- Active California Medical License (M.D. or D.O.)
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Practice
- Active DEA License
- Must have a Nat'l Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI, prior to employment start date.
- Have approved credentials with Health Plans
- Commitment to goals and philosophy of clinic
- Current CPR and/or BLS Certification
- Valid State Identification
